Let Them Shine X Canva Online Community Workshop on Basic Canva Skills aimed to foster inclusivity and equip diverse communities, including neurodivergent individuals, and community members in different countries with valuable skills for future employment opportunities.
The workshop was meticulously planned to accommodate participants' varying needs, offering support for those who are less tech-savvy or have higher learning requirements. Conducted by Let Them Shine, a lead representative from Canva, and in collaboration with partner organizations Gerbang Kampus Indonesia, Tinkerthings Global and Bright Future India, the workshop successfully attracted around 198 participants for a comprehensive training experience, both online and offline, enhanced by the support of 16 dedicated volunteers.
Participants were introduced to foundational Canva skills through sessions titled “Canva 101” and “Presentation to Impress,” which focused on creating engaging presentations tailored to individual needs.
Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a desire to participate in future workshops. Participants were also encouraged to explore self-learning opportunities at Canva’s Design School to further enhance their skills.
